What this site is

BestSolicitors publishes ranked shortlists of solicitors by practice area and city. The rankings are editorial opinion, produced by the process described on themethodology page. They are a starting point for your own enquiries, not a recommendation that any firm is right for your case.

Not legal advice

Nothing on this site is legal advice and nothing here creates a solicitor and client relationship. The guides describe how areas of law generally work in the United Kingdom at the date they were last updated. Law changes, your circumstances are your own, and a solicitor you instruct is the person to rely on.

Check the regulator yourself

Every firm listed was checked against its regulator's public register at the date shown on the list. Firms change, so check again before you instruct one: the Solicitors Regulation Authority for England and Wales, the Law Society of Scotland, or the Law Society of Northern Ireland.
